Food Loft launch
The food loft which was the final part of the renovation Yaya started a few years ago was officially launched on Oct 28, 2009. It is comprised of Saffron, Chinese Kitchen, Dim Sum House and Primi Piatti - between them offering authentic Indian delights, specialities from China, Italian flavors and salads and even a nyama choma platter.

It was planned with a deliberate intention to exceed the expectations of our customers with standards that are way above anywhere else. Samples of food from the restaurants and beer from Sierra was available for all to experience and a fashion show by Kikoromeo and Truworths was the entertainment highlight of the evening followed by the raffle draw. Walter Mongare (Nyambane), the MC, and his band provided the music and entertainment. Guest of honour was Rose Kimotho and Catherine Kasavuli was the special guest and fashion show presenter.

Of course it all would not have been possible without the support of all the tenants and the team that put the food loft together including Planning Interiors, Sunny and his team from Specialized and the Yaya team under the stewardship of the Managing Director.

Our Vision

Tuesday, June 16th 2009 is the day Yaya launched it's new vision... "through giving people great experiences we add value to their lives"... .The successful cocktail launch held at the shopping centre was attended by the tenants among other invited guests.

Keen and attentive

The tenants were all ears to receive the good words from the MD

 Satisfied and drinks up !
The MD and some tenants raise their glasses in respect to a truly enjoyable evening, the smiles symbolizing a new dawn for the Yaya brand

Great job guys !
Kathleen Kihanya, Samira Mathews and Eisabeth Klem engage on the best way to take advantage of the new alliance for the benefit of Yaya

A lovely Tuesday evening

The ambience created, truly created an amazing opportunity for the tenants to get to know each other, have a good time and buy into the new Yaya vision. The new Yaya has been born

So how's business ?

Tenants mingle and try to get a better understanding of their operations. A good eye opener into how a symbiotic relationship can  be developed

Smooth and contemporary

As the tenants enjoy the cocktail, the Orange Band create a symphony that keeps the room lively and upbeat

Yaya Maasai Market
The Maasai of Kenya have preserved a rich culture in the manner in which they dress, live and even eat. The Kamba, Luo, Kisii, Kikuyu , Luhya among others have a variety of carvings that define their love for beauty. Yaya Towers Limited in an effort to bring these vast cultures closer to its shoppers holds the Yaya Maasai Market.

Away from the hassle and bustle of the city centre this market offers a huge range of Kenyan made curious, carvings, artifacts, ethnic fashion, jewelry, gifts etc in a friendly, safe and clean environment.

The Yaya Maasai Market is held every Sunday starting 9.00 am – 5.30 pm.

This is definitely one spot that one should not miss on a Sunday afternoon. The Maasai market compliments the shops at the center giving the shoppers an opportunity to do the rest of their shopping on a Sunday afternoon at Yaya. Yaya offers great variety from Gift/Cards/Books, Fashion, Sportswear & Equipment, Shoes, Jewelry & Accessories, Music, Art & Drawing, Travel Agents, Entertainment, Groceries, Services, Electrical goods, Home ware and Kitchen ware, Florists, Health and Beauty to Restaurants and Believes.
